Hello all, I'm interested in using B.subtilis as an expression system, and possibly for carrying constructs. The advantage being that hopefully I could induce sporulation and store constructs on the shelf or in the fridge instead of in glycerol stock.
Has anyone here worked with subtilis, that might know if this is possible? Does subtilis maintain plasmid during spore formation?
