Hi Iain,

"qp-sn" and "qp-ra" correspond respectively to "Total snow precipitation 
(cm)" and "Total rain precipitation (mm)" in the period (that is what 
was not clear), i.e. in the hour.


So an output of "0.1" in the "qp-sn" field would mean that 0.1 cm of 
snow had felt on the ground during the hour where you would find this 
number.  These output are computed from the atmospheric forecast ("sn" 
and "ra" fields).

I have updated the documentation (added "1 hr" in the field for 
rain/snow precip) to make it clearer:
