Hi Esben,

I think you are right and that is a good idea to add the optional use of 
IR and solar radiation instead of cloud cover as input. I don't think it 
will be a lot of work and it could be useful for research and 
development purpose. Moreover, once it will be done, it will be there 
for all the future versions of METRo without any other update.

I have added a task in METRo (https://gna.org/task/index.php?5753) for 
this and I have updated the changelog of METRo 
(http://documentation.wikia.com/wiki/Changelog_%28METRo%29#Version_3.1.2). 
I have put it in version 3.1.2 but I will probably have time to add it 
in 3.1.1 release.

Can I count on your help to test this new option?
