Hi everyone,

We just released METRo 3.2.1. It is available here:
http://download.gna.org/metro/metro-3.2.1.tar.bz2

The difference with version 3.2.0 is the _real_ support of 64-bits architecture. See: http://documentation.wikia.com/wiki/Changelog_(METRo)#Version_3.2.1

We announced the 64-bits in METRo 3.2.0 but it seems that compiling the fortran code on this architecture was not enough :(

For those out there who wonder what the difference is, it as to do with the fact that we use many languages, namely Python->C->fortran and that the meaning of the "integer" is not the same for all theses languages. Follow this link for the detail: http://www.ccr.jussieu.fr/ccr/Documentation/Calcul/vac/html/en_US/doc/compiler/ref/rucl64mg.htm#Interlanguage

François Fortin wrote a patch by gracefully adding the flag "-fdefault-integer-8" to the gfortran compiling when a 64-bits architecture is detected. You can look at the difference of the installation script: http://svn.gna.org/viewcvs/metro/metro/trunk/scripts/do_macadam?rev=244&r1=211&r2=244

Thanks to Kung-E Cheng for reporting this bug (https://gna.org/bugs/?12385).
