Those two blog posts go over some of the ways to modify Mezzanine. In addition to that, check out https://mezzanine.jupo.org/docs/frequently-asked-questions.html#templates. Keep in mind that Mezzanine is Django so anything you could do to modify/style Django templates will apply to Mezzanine. Good luck, let us know how it goes!
