(This is with Mezzanine 3.1.4 and Django 1.6.5. on Ubuntu 14.04 64-bit)
When I try to get Mezzanine to send a password reset email, nothing
happens. By that I mean that I receive no email,
and nothing appears in any logs. I'm using a local Postfix null client. I
know that Postfix is working because I can send
email using the mailx command line tool. I can also send email using the
following method:
./manage.py shell
Python 2.7.3 (default, Feb 27 2014, 19:58:35)
[GCC 4.6.3] on linux2
Type "help", "copyright", "credits" or "license" for more information.
(InteractiveConsole)
>>> from django.core.mail import send_mail
>>> send_mail('Subject here', 'Here is the message.', '[email protected]',
... ['[email protected]'], fail_silently=False)
This works and I receive the email.
This is very similar to
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/18460614/sending-email-from-django-mezzanine-running-on-heroku
but there was
no definitive answer there.
Other than this email problem, Mezzanine seems to be working great. All my
content appears as it should.
I'm totally stuck. Does anybody have any ideas of what might be going on?
Cordially,
Jon Forrest
