Hi Niels,

The canonical example remains the Django tutorial
<https://docs.djangoproject.com/en/1.8/intro/tutorial01/>. There is nothing
special (aside from the community) about Mezzanine. Building or porting
specifically for Mezzanine might hinder your ability to use the app outside
of Mezzanine. Stick with the Django philosophy of "loosely coupled" apps
that do not rely on specific Mezzanine functionality.
