If it helps, I started out in Mezzanine 3.1.10 and then upgraded to 4.0.0 a few days after it was released. Maybe the problem lies there. I just tried creating a new mezzanine app and I can't even log into admin/default account with the error: 'Please enter the correct username and password for a staff account. Note that both fields may be case-sensitive.'
