I hadn't tried the master. I did add the CSS change to my file and that
fixed the weird line issue. It didn't seem to fix the weird thing where I
can't actually click within the box for the data fields displayed in the
header bar.. I've attached an image. What you can see here is that it's
dark because the modal gets activated, but then I can't actually click the
text field because it exits the modal. This *only* happens for the fields
within that jumbotron, not the others.

custom CSS for the jumbotron and elements: (The background image gets
overridden dynamically if a featured image exists)
.featuredimage-jumbotron {
background:
url('http://digital-photography-school.com/wp-content/uploads/flickr/5171453436_2b2604aed5_o.jpg');
background-size: cover;
-webkit-background-size: cover;
    -moz-background-size: cover;
    -o-background-size: cover;
    background-size: cover;
    height: 650px;
    margin-bottom: 20px;

}

.featured-container {
position: relative;
top: 50%;
-webkit-transform: translateY(-50%);
-ms-transform: translateY(-50%);
transform: translateY(-50%);
background-color: black;
background-color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.5);
padding: 20px 20px 45px 20px;
color: #ffffff;
}
