*Feature Request - Scheduled publishing for exsiting content #411* I was thinking of implementing this feature.
Currently as it is happens, a post is only shown if it is between the expiry time and publishing time. I was thinking a different approach then this one. 1) Implement a Update queue which would allow users to schedule multiple updates to a single post/page. eg:- a) I have updated to push a content live at 12 AM. b) I have then updated to push a content live at 3 AM. The post would be updated once at 12 AM and then at 3 AM. After an update has been pushed to the main content i) we can prune them to decrease data that will not be used. ii) Keep them in the DB, so that the users can look at a kind of history for the update. 2) Implement only a single update for every post, which would be overwritten with every update schedule. eg:- I have updated content to be published to be published at 12 AM, and then i update the post, so the content is pushed at 3 AM. The content would be pushed only at 3AM. If i update the post after 3AM, then it would be updated at the scheduled time at that time. Would need to implement a model for update that when invoked for update would update the post. This is just a conceptualisation, right now, let me know if i should start with one of my approaches.
