I'm using AngularJS to implement a site search feature on my Mezzanine
site. I know that there is an issue with the template tags between Django
and AngularJS. Does anyone have "best practice" recommendations on how to
solve this problem.

I'm using Mezzanine as an Awesome CMS and for the ability for users to
build profile and login/out. I'm intending to build out the site search
feature with AngularJS.

1. I know about the {% verbatim %} and {% endverbation %} tags solution

2. I've also been advised that I could decouple this and use
Mezzanine/Django as my API endpoint (using DRF) and make $ajax calls.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to implement #2, I'm very
interested in that because it seems like a great long-term solution. I"ve
never used DRF before so any input is greatly appreciated.
