Cool stuff for sure, but if you are anything like me your hard disk is full of images and the stack of CD's with photos on them is stacking up. Last week we saw how to get free prints, this week see how to organize and thumbnail all those great photos. The first app found is called MyAlbum. It is a cataloger for building digital photo albums. Supported formats JPEG, BMP, PNG, GIF, animated GIF, TIFF, TGA, PCX and WMF files. Here are some features... Foto Time FotoAlbum is an image viewer that offers both scanner and digital camera support. Create your own screensavers from albums you produce on a time delay. This program fully catalogs all your images within the directory of your choice. Features: *offers support for Twain Scanners and Cameras, along with some custom drivers to support Cameras that mimic drives *allows you to plug-in your own imaging tools for picture editing *archives everything from regular pictures to desktop icons This is a wonderful image viewer that does not take over your default viewer/editor, a key feature for those who like things the way they are. Scanner and camera support makes this program a worthy download. http://www.fototime.com/ As long as we all still have some room free for more images why not some from the net. Seeker jumps from website to website, down loading all pictures it comes across, effectively down loading a hoard of pics on a topic of your choice. All html links it comes across are stored in memory, so that the program can jump to them later. Because the entire process is automated, after the initial input is taken, it can be left on, say, overnight to collect a large number of pictures on a favorite TV show, movie, or whatever. The website to begin the seek is entered, as is the location on the user's hard-drive to store the pictures.
