The Application Resource Editor (ARE) was originally part of the
SmartCAM Localization Kit (SLK). This utility allowed SmartCAM to be
translated into various languages by editing the contents of strings
and their positions in application BRC files. Prior to the
discontinuance of tech support for SmartCAM by SDRC, the SLK was not
readily available, even to me as a reseller, due to the potential tech
support nightmare it could create. I would not recommend it's use to
anyone but experienced power users. I acquired it under the agreement
to never, NEVER, EVER ask any support questions even remotely related
to the SLK. Since there is no longer any official SmartCAM tech
support, the SLK support issue is moot.

There are two files to download. Examples.doc and ARE11.zip
I have used the ARE to edit existing tool and operations to better
represent our application. The attached Word file "examples.doc"
illustrates what I have done.
The attached zip file "are11.zip" contains all the SLK files I
received and a quick start guide I wrote.
Due to my companies antivirus policies I am incapable of sending files
with exe extensions, even when nested in a zip file. If you would,
unzip the files, rename the file "are11.ex_" to "are11.exe" and re-zip
them prior to posting.
There is no installation program. After downloading, the files need to
be extracted and placed into a folder. A shortcut then needs to be
created to the file "are11.exe"
