On my ridged tap machines I program 2-3 x the pitch deeper than the print callout for bottoming taps. In my tap catalog (EMUGE) I think that is the correct spelling it calls out how much lead is on the tap in thread pitch. On non-ridged I program print depth with a much slower RPM and with the head pullout it usually comes out close.
