Use IGES to import the 3dm file, not IGES Surfaces but just plain IGES. Freeform reads the standard IGES just fine, but has trouble with the IGES Surface at times. There are several other formats that will work coming into Freeform but std IGES works every time. I use Rhino as my modeler and translator, Freeform is now used for code generation only. It is hard to beat Freefrom for outputting toolpath, the Smartcam modeler side is pretty weak since the development ended. Guess what, with Rhino I no longer need Freeform's modeler <grin>. I get all the bells and whistles in Rhino, upgrades and compatibility too. Then just IGES the model out to Freeform to generate the gcode and it's done. Not to mention that Microscribe digitizer support is present in Rhino too. I don't see any need for better code generation than Freeform, Rhino does the rest. Michael
