I don't know the answer for why it takes so long for post to show up. Though the messages on this list are monitored by SDRC personnel, there is no "holding" or "approval" process.
The server that runs the majordomo list is located at SDRC headquarters in Milford, OH.
As list manager, I do see a lot of "Bounced Message" notifications from majordomo. Here are a few things to remember when sending messages:
There is a file size limit for attachments. I don't know the exact limit ... but it low. If you want to exchange files with members, it is better to send file attachments directly to their email address. Messages sent to the list with file attachments usually "Bounce" with a "Message too long" error.
The email address you are sending from must match the email address that you are subscribed under - exactly. This is a safe guard against the list being "spammed". Messages sent to the list with mismatched addresses will "Bounce" with "Non Member Submittal" error.
Last, if you need help with subscribing and unsubscibing to the list, the instructions are on the SDRC Web Site here.
Thanks,
<list manager>
