Decreasing the size of the show cut window and decreasing the size of the
blank both speed up the show cut. Try to make sure that all the blank is
displayed in the window. Make a smaller blank to show a particular area.
Keep the cutter length as short as possible. Make the stock, fixture and
cutter semi-transparent. Optimize show cut for speed. Use grthin.mcl to
reduce the number of internal points in your polylines. All these help.

Get a faster processor, more memory, a video card with good 2D
acceleration and a lot of memory and  increase your virtual memory
settings (NT & 2000). Get a big hard drive (Windows 98).
