I believe there are a few of them, N-SEE. Vericut, etc. The ones I have looked
at are all expensive, as I recall $10k + SmartCAM has Tape-to-Shape which, in
my opinion, is an absolute waste of time. DP Esprit X has a utility to import
G-Code, I used it once but I was just fooling around and could not begin to
estimate its usefulness. As far as run time, you should be able to write a VB
program that would calculate feed distance @ feed rate with some variables for
tool change etc. that would give that information.

I noticed that you are from a High School. If you are looking for some thing
for grading purposes, you could use a set of drawings for testing purposes. You
could then write the CNC Programs and get all the feature points, arcs and
lines. With this information, you could write a VB program to compare the
finish passes of the student programs against the master program and determine
if they violated the part. With some effort, it could check roughing passes and
rapid points to insure they do not violate the roughing passes or crash into the
remaining stock.

Just some hair brained ideas.

I'm looking for a software which will import G and M code (fanuc compatible)
from a variety of CAM packages and allow toolpath verification with an estimate
of "run time". I think there's a software with a name like N-See, or NC View,
or something like that. Anyone have any experience with something like this?
