Larry, Freeform's modeler is limited circa the time that development stopped. Rhino is a VERY compatible modeler. The translation to and from Freeform and Rhino is seamless. Solids, surfacing, 3d text (either surfaces, solids or curves of any windows fonts), projections, surface editing, translation to and from most every other cad and cam system on the market. Open GL shading, great rendering and now the Flamingo package too at no additional cost with the purchase of Rhino 1.1. The Rhino beta 2.0 is also available for that same cost. http://www.rhino3d.com http://www.flamingo3d.com Other than all these things what more can you get for under $1,000.00? If SDRC had implemented a modeler like Rhino into Freeform they would have sold a million seats. What Rhino does for me is to keep me completely compatible with other software at no additional cost. I use Freeform to generate code, after all, nothing ever output toolpath like Freeform. Michael
