I've been monitoring this forum for about 6 months or so and researching the archieves to pick up as much information on Smartcam as I can. I"m trying not to repeat questions that have already been asked and answered.
I have tried the Macro - Record option on several small items and that seems to be my best route at the moment. I have little macro experience and no time to sort out the language involved. My question is: Does Smartcam retain the control panel data (as in "Keep Defaults") and can it be accessed and exported to another application ( like Wordpad or Word 97)? Specifically, I want to save Surface Machining data (stepover, finish amount, depth of cut) per operation and send it to another application for my records.This would make recording operations more automatic. I have a file set-up in Word that mimics the appearance of the Surface Machining panel so that the information is located in the same place and in the same way as in Smartcam. It works but I have to enter the info manually. Any ideas???
