Here is my solution for double-clicking filenames that works with both long and
short filenames:

Instead of removing the quotes as mentioned in a previous post, add an
additional quote at the beginning of the command line.

"C:\SM9\SYSTEM\pmill.exe "%1"

The only shortcoming this has is that SmartCAM will see the file with the DOS8.3
filename and/or directory name and you will need to do File Save As: and File
Select to resave or your long filenames will get lost.

Double clicking an icon will not work with long filenames or files and
directories with spaces:(   However; if the directory structure and file
name are DOS8.3 compliant it will open.  It is as if Smartcam strips the
path of file name form the point it encounters its first space character.
Has anyone had luck opening a long filename by double clicking?
