Jeff and all, I've been using SmartCAM for something like twelve years, first I demo'd and sold it, then I started training people to use it as well.
I still train people to use SmartCAM but I also do sub-contract programming, macro writing and code-generators. Some of my customers are SmartCAM users and some are not. Most of them are in the UK but not all. (Hi Roy in California, are you still there. And hi to Tomas in Ireland.) I never know what I'm going to be asked to do next or for what machine, but I very seldom have to say to a customer, "Sorry, I can't do that in SmartCAM". As to your question about 4th axis code, re-sequence the tools and re-code, if your code-generator is set up correctly you should get rotations between tool changes. When you grouped the whole part to rotate it you should have checked the box SORT BY TOOLS and it would have sequenced your tools automatically.
