When I get that message it is because I have the "Scale" button selected. When the Scale button is on and the graphic that you are trying to print is bigger then the sheet size you're using, this error occurs. What I do is window in on the object(s) and keep trying to print to scale until I do not get the error message. Once it does print to scale you can use the size of the rectangle around your printed graphic as a window guide to print other areas of the object(s) to size. I've tried changing the margins, but it seems to have no effect on the outcome. For the remaining 99% of my Print Graphics I use the "Fit To Page" button.
