Hi All,
I'm using Production Milling v11.5, and I need to program thread
milling for a 5-axis Hitachi Seiki Super Hi-Cell 250 lathe using the
B-axis. The problems I'm having are that I've never programmed thread
milling, I don't think I could do it with PMill for a 5-axis even if I had
experience, and nobody has a code generator for this machine. I called
Vardex for the tooling and they also gave me programs for a Fanuc control
on a standard 3-axis machining center, but they can't give me any for the
Hi-Cell. The threads I need are 1/2-13 (.627 deep), and M12 x 1.5 (5.50mm
deep). Is there anyone that can help me with the code for these? I'm not a
"lathe guy", I'm trying to help out another programmer with a new job on a
new machine.
