Mornin Chris,

When installing the first thing it does is check for a smartcam.ini file and uses CFGPath for the default. Another thing to be aware of is the OS and who you are logged on as. If it's a network and there isn't a smartcam.ini it will use the users default home directory. This is why installing as the administrator can cause problems. No one can write to the administatrators home.

A final FYI. When ever any of the apps start, the first place it looks for it's ini file is in the directory that the executable lives in. So if you're ever having problems figuring out where the hell the right ini file is and you just need to get your job done, simply drop the ini file in next to the executable and you're good to go.

Subject: [mfg-smartcam] pmill.ini

Hi all,
I've noticed that the pmill.ini file gets installed in different folders on different computers (at least this has been my experience). In other cases, some installations install a "backup" pmill.ini file in a backup directory. My thinking is that possibly the OS has something to do with this phenomenon. Since this does occur, one of the other files in a Smartcam installation has to be pointing to the pmill.ini location. Would this be the "CFGPath=" section in the Smartcam.ini file?
