From what I have heard, and since I live in California, they are going to have the WesTec every other year now due to the lack of turnout from this past one. I was told that 1/3 of the vendors that normally show up didn't make it, so the show was very small in comparison from previous years. I went and it wasn't at all crowded as it had been in the past. So, I would imagine that the IMTS will probably follow suit eventually.

This was the first imts show I have been to, but I was expecting it to be
more crowded. I heard that there were more scantily clad women in the past,
but I was impressed with the number of skirts and cute faces there. The
candy was definitely a bit cheap. Almost no one was handing out samples, and
most machines were cutting air. I would like to have seen more actual metal
cutting.
As for as the food, I thought $11.00 for a cold sandwich and soda, (no
chips) was a little steep.
All in all, we had a good time, and I'm looking forward to going back next
time.
