Anybody out there has a post for Daewoo Pulma 300M Mill/Turn with a Fanuc 18it control , using Pro/E to share ?

They could not be any more different. UG is very robust and HIGHLY customizable. If your work lends itself to macros, UG will blow your socks off. It has macros and an even more powerful concept of establishing a set of operations that you sort of "unzip" on your new geometry, and you will have a program, regardless of how complex your part is. This function looks for certain characteristics, and you will have to define others. I used both softwares in injection mold, production shop and aerospace applications, and after SmartCam it was difficult to find something that fits the bill. I also used Catia and Pro-E recently, and they are a good bit behind where UG is. Your models will make or brake you, much like in SC if your imported data is junk, you have to get creative. Solid modeling is more involved than arcs and lines. Posting (code generation) is greatly different also. I have written a number of posts (all fanuc, 3-4-5 axis indexing and continuous 4th motion) which I will be glad to share, should you decide to go with UG. What you will not have with UG is the absolute, every-single-line level control that you have with SC. Take time to learn it right. It IS the most powerful CAD-CAM package today.
