The Cam Connection is not actually integrated into the SmartCAM interface.
The "Import" and "Export" menu selections only serve to call the external
Cam Connection program. The Cam Connection can only translate files saved to
disk. When exporting you need to save the current file first in order to
export the latest version. When importing it creates a temporary file on
disk called "camcon" that is then automatically loaded into memory. This
temp file is not deleted afterward.
Apparently your translation is failing somewhere and the temp file is never
updated. Look for a file called "camcon.pm4" and delete it. The default path
for this file is "C:\SM9\TEMP_IMP\camcon.pm4"
You may want to try running the Cam Connection outside of SmartCAM from the
Start menu. This may give you some indication as to where it is failing,

Subject: [mfg-smartcam] Importing DXF

Hello,

I'm trying to import a .dxf file into SC but every time it comes in it's an
old file
that I imported along time ago. How do I clear the old file to get the new
one?
I've never had this happen before, what's wrong?
