The .men files are used to suppress existing menu items.

;do "OpenLast1"
;do "OpenLast2"
;do "OpenLast3"
;do "OpenLast4"

 By removing the semicolon preceding the command, you could reduce the
number of listed files listed, but not increase them. The semicolon is a
remark or REM character used for preceding a comment. Everything on the line
following it is ignored.

Just out of curiousity and not being too swift with the inner workings of
SmatCam, I was looking around and saw in atun.men the SWEL commands. Could
something be done with this to make more files appear?

Pete,

I don't think it can be done. I didn't ignore your previous posting, I was
waiting to see if anyone else had found a way.

SmartCAM sill relies on ini files for most of it's configuration settings, a

left over from Windows 3.x running under DOS. The only SmartCAM settings I
know of in the registry are for display in the "Currently Installed
Programs" window of the "Add/Remove Programs" dialog box in Control Panel.
Those settings are modified by the setup and uninstall programs, not by
SmartCAM itself.

I've played around with the application ini files and found no settings that

apply. I've tried adding additional files to the "MenuFiles" section,

[MenuFiles]
DfltFile1=C:\SM9\UG\00198-1\BURN\G1A.pm4
DfltFile2=D:\01187-4\x706a.pm4
DfltFile3=C:\SM9\UG\TEST-OXYFUEL.pm4
DfltFile4=C:\SM9\UG\TEST-PLASMA.pm4
DfltFile5=C:\SM9\UG\00198-1\BURN\G1A.pm4
DfltFile6=D:\01187-4\x706a.pm4
DfltFile7=C:\SM9\UG\TEST-OXYFUEL.pm4
DfltFile8=C:\SM9\UG\TEST-PLASMA.pm4

but it caused no effect. Only the first 4 settings were displayed in the
File menu and updated in the ini file by SmartCAM.

Anyone else have any bright ideas????

I'd like to find out if it's possible to increase the number of files
displayed in the recent files dropdown list in the File menu. I'm assuming
the default is 4. I can't find an option to change it in SmartCAM or in the

ini files. Some windows apps have an option to
change this (ex: Word, AutoCAD) but I'm assuming if there is no option, the
windows default is used. I did a search in the registry but didn't come up
with anything.  Any ideas appreciated.
