I get lots of email from people who find the Smartcam Repository page
on my website asking about getting old installations resetup. Today
someone asked about where can a copy of V8 be found. Although I once
had V8 myself the disks are no longer readable. Would it be legal to
do through a group effort to resurrect some of the older versions
(mostly on floppy) put on CD for user posterity? Remembering that you
*MUST* have the legal Smartcam license key documents with the product
codes to match your Volume Serial number for this to do anyone any
good. BUT, just for the folks who paid for these applications in good
faith, a cd version would be nice insurance for that fateful day when
the old hd dies.
Would this be possible to do without doing something illegal?
If I remeber correctly the EULA agreement allows us to make a copy
for backup purposes.
Any suggestions...
A user named Nancy Wilkins was sent info today to join the user group
with this V8 problem.
