That is correct you must also divide the pitch by the number of thread starts. Example 3/4-6 2 lead must feed at 3 threads per/inch then change your Z starting point by half the original pitch (6) and thread again at 3 threads per/inch. As far as the Okuma lathe I can't help you out with that.
