I've spent something like nineteen of the last twenty-six years doing sub-contract programming, the last eight years working for myself, using SmartCAM. The last but one contract I undertook was for a company doing machining for a Formula One racing team, and I've worked for British Aerospace (defence and civil) and many other like companies. In all that time nobody has ever asked me for anything in writing, a verbal agreement has always sufficed. Perhaps things are different here in the UK.
