I don't have a solution, but this sounds similar to a problem when coding
imported CAD files mentioned in Technote 117, Coding v9.0 DXF CC .PM4 Files
Causes Abnormal Program Termination .

Was this file originally imported form ProE? You may want to review the
attached technotes and see if they may apply in this case.

Subject: [mfg-smartcam] lost data

Hello,

I encountered a problem yesterday as I was finishing a long program.I am
using SC Freeform V10.0. After programming a pocket with islands, my
computer locked up and I was forced to restart .The Error Message read:
Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Error,Program C:\sm10\system\ffm.exe Abnormal
program Termination. I had saved the program at several points during the
programming and was confident that I could return to the point of the last
saved tool path. When I tried to recover my program, the file did not have
any data saved. The file name remained but it stated that there was 0kb in
the file. The job file had data but the program file was empty. After
reprogramming the part again, I got to the section where I had the problem
and tried it again. The computer locked up and I lost all data again.Same
error message! Our engineering group recently upgraded from ProE 2001 to
ProE wildfire and I am wondering if the upgrade may be causing the problem.
The previous upgrade to Pro E 2001 did cause a problem with surfaces and
through this forum, I was fortunate to receive a fix . The ProE config files
needed to be changed. I am also having problems importing IGES files
created from the new version of ProE. I routinely import iges files by
clicking file, import, then find file needed and either wireframe or surface
then accept. Now it tells me that I cannot import the file and must try
using camcon to import a file. This will work, but is not the preferred way
to import files. I also had a new graphics card installed and this all
started soon after. Coincidence ? I am trying to look at all angles. If
anyone has had this problem and can offer some help please reply.

Thank You
