Hi Michael,

On Wednesday I received over 100 standard messages from my ISP telling me a virus had been intercepted, none of these were from a 'friendly' source, meanwhile my 'proper' messages came through okay at the same time.

I'm lucky, when I updated my PC last year I used Windows '98 as my operating system and the Blaster doesn't infest Win '98!

Regards,

Subject: [mfg-smartcam] Test...anyone out there?

This is a test e-mail because our company is in the process of eradicating the infamous BLASTER.exe virus/worm.

I am getting numerous e-mails with subject headings saying that theyre not able to be delivered due to a virus.

My wishful thinking is that the e-mails are postings from the Group, thou the heading suggest otherwise.

I was just wondering if the Trend Micro OfficeScan Corporate Edition software sees the SmartCAM User group

e-mails as a virus, and is cleaning/quarantining them?

Or maybe my e-mail address is on some ones virus infection hit list after surfing the net.

If anybody in the group receives this e-mail a simple reply back would be nice.

Maybe a few words about the effects of last Thursdays power outage and how it is affecting your company.

We are currently running at half capacity, and have will continue to do so for the whole week of August 18.

Next week who knows?

Regards,

Michael Senack
