Sounds like an invalid planner configuration. It's odd that amill works and aturn doesn't. The config files for the turning planner are identified in various sections of the aturn.ini file
[Planner] StepListFormatFile=C:\Sm9\TURN\JOSDEF\STEPLST.FMT ToolListFormatFile=C:\Sm9\TURN\JOSDEF\TOOLLST.FMT [Inch] JosDefaults=C:\Sm9\TURN\JOSDEF\T_INCH.DEF AutoId=C:\Sm9\TURN\JOSDEF\TAUTOID.FMT AutoDescription=C:\Sm9\TURN\JOSDEF\TAUTODSC.FMT [Metric] JosDefaults=C:\Sm9\TURN\JOSDEF\T_METRIC.DEF AutoId=C:\Sm9\TURN\JOSDEF\TAUTOID.FMT AutoDescription=C:\Sm9\TURN\JOSDEF\TAUTODSC.FMT If any of these were invalid you'd normally get an error message when entering the turning application. This can be verified from within SmartCAM by selecting "Utility" - "Diagnostics..." from the menus. ================================================== Fred Lauzus, CAM Programming Coordinator High Steel Structures, Incorporated mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> http://www.highsteel.com <http://www.highsteel.com/> ================================================== -----Original Message----- From: Ray Machine Inc. The Advanced milling works fine so far. On the turning program nothing shows up in the planner after I create a tool. I checked some of the sample model files and they are the same nothing shows up The tools show in the element data and work in show path. I cannot change the tool data because I can't open the planner Thanks William Ray I'm going back to the old computer til I get this worked out ====================================================================== To find out more about this mailing list including how to unsubscribe, send the message "info mfg-smartcam" to [EMAIL PROTECTED] ======================================================================
