All the information needed for thread depth and length are in the machinist
hand book. I generally go gauge length plus wrench make up and add another
turn to two. Find the thread depth and travel 1^ 47 min.along the parallel
axes. I use the canned cycle G76 and all I need is to add the R value. The
only adjustments down on the floor are the X axis in wear to bring in the
thread dimensions to the gauge.
