I became the cnc programmer at my company in September of 2000.
Smartcam ffm 11.5 and advanced turning 11.5 were in place when I
received my un-official week of training from the programmer that was
leaving.

In December of 2002 my company sent me to Michigan for my official week
of training using Unigraphics manufacturing, which was purchased in 01'
along with
2 seats of mold wizard design software (very expensive stuff).

I'll just say that although I think UG is an incredibly powerful tool, for
3-d stuff.
Forget about 2-d. I also think it is an incredibly complicated tool.
It makes the simple stuff difficult and the difficult stuff easy,
go figure.

We have 4503 files currently in mdata and tdata, that doesn't include files
that are archived on CD.

I have looked at Mastercam, Gibbs, Esprit as well as some others and in my
humble opinion
they can't hold a match to SC, for to many reasons to list.

P.S.
I can't wait to see what the first of revision of smarter-cam is
going to look, and act like.
And I think if we have to pay, even a small fee to stay on the list I
would like to be
given  a chance to see the new product. Maybe MRS could give the
loyalists a
chance w/ a sample that times out or something!!!??

Vivra SmartCAM !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
