Group,
I have always been concerned about the legal ramifications for making a VolId.exe link available for download from my website. For some years now "we legal users" have had to fend for ourselves to keep our legal seats of Smartcam running when OS changes, hard drive crashes, etc occured. Since Smartcam is back in development now, and keyrequests are also alive again mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] , this "sudden death" is no longer an issue, I have unlinked my website from the download of volumeid. The legal standpoint is that we can get keys reissued now and I do not wish to get caught "in the middle" of any licensing questions. There is nothing illegal about "us" keeping our legal seats running, I just want to make sure I don't assist anyone with the duplication of free multiple seats which would "injure" the new owners.
There is nothing I can do about the utility being offered elsewhere, but I can do the right thing in support of the new owners http://www.smartcamcnc.com and further support their genuine efforts to support us.
Regards,
Michael Gailey

Have a Great New Year!
