Hello Group, I'm looking for some ideas. One of our customers has brought us a "Die/Mold" that he wants us to duplicate. The problem is, alot of the original mold has been filled and shaped by hand with caulk. I do not have a CMM so how can I gather data and input it in SmartCam Adv P-Mill 11.5.
My first thought is is to put it in a mill and use and indicator and check depths at specific coordinates and then try to create a surface from it in some way. The surfaces are fairly simple looking, sweeping arcs blending to other arcs. Any ideas or thoughts are welcome.
