Kill works great. The macro is as follows:

kill ctfmon.exe
cd C:\SM9\SYSTEM
C:\SM9\SYSTEM\amill.exe

Thank you for you speedy suggestion David.

Have you tried the kill.exe utility? I can't test it because I don't have W2K, but here's what I found after a quick search......

Has anyone been successful in disabling ctfmon.exe using a *.bat file in a WIN2K? When I try to execute the same batch file we use to disable ctfmon.exe on our WinXP machines I get an error saying "taskkill not recognized as an internal or external, operable program or batch file". Any working solutions out there?

Here is the batch file:

taskkill /im ctfmon*
cd C:\SM9\SYSTEM
C:\SM9\SYSTEM\amill.exe

Thanks,

Dan
