My guess is that you could. I know there are commands to import and export text from a macro. The hassle will be parsing the file to make sure you get only the information you want. Probably If I had to do it, I would write some sort of program in visual basic to parse the file and extract the information to an intermediate text file then extract the info I wanted. I would do the same to pass information back to the smf file. All of this may be possible with in the macro language but from what I remember it is not very strong on text handling
