Dave, The settings for the colors of the "PAUSE" and "PROMPT" dialogs are controlled by the Windows display settings. The default settings for Windows XP are particularly bad for SmartCAM. My first choice is to switch to the "Windows Classic style" In XP you access this setting from "Start" - "Settings" - "Control Panel" - "Display" - "Appearance" - "Windows and buttons:" and select "Windows Classic style". >From the same location you can then select a different "Color scheme:". If you prefer the "Windows XP style" or you still want to change the text colors, this is where to go: In XP you access theses color settings from "Start" - "Settings" - "Control Panel" - "Display" - "Appearance" - "Advanced" - "Item:". The "Item" that controls the dialog background color is "3D Objects" - "Color 1:". Note that while the "Color:" setting for this item does control the color in most message boxes, it does not control the text color in the SmartCAM dialogs. The "Item" that controls the text color is "Selected Items" - "Color". Note that the settings for "Selected Items:", "Color 1:" and "Color:", also control all highlighting of menus and data input fields. Because of this you will have to change both of these settings to contrasting colors to avoid undesirable results elsewhere in SmartCAM and in other Window applications. The recommendation I made to our programmers for "Selected Items" was to set "Color 1:" to bright yellow and "Color:" to dark blue.

But now I would like to change the color of the text when I get the prompt. WHAT IS THE CUSTOMER'S NAME? WHAT IS THE PART NAME? WHAT IS THE DWG. NUMBER? It is in white, I would like to change it to black. Is there a way I can to this. I have attached my start-up macro.
