My guess is that you have a configuration problem with the SmartCAM installation on your client machine. Was this done as a clean install or did you copy a previous installation?
In your SmartCAM.ini file you should have the path set to you key directory (i.e. Keydir=C:\Sm9CFG\KEYDIR) You should have a the file Netelm.flg present within the key directory folder (i.e. C:\Sm9Cfg\KeyDir\Netelm.flg) The lmv3.dll in the SmartCAM system folder (i.e. C:\Sm9\SYSTEM) is different for the standard node locked license and network license. While both are the same size, on my v11.5 installs the node locked version is dated 10/19/98 and the NLM version is dated 5/27/98 You could try to re-install the software, first the applications(s), then the NLM client. Get all the software licensed and running first before you attempt to copy over any custom files. ================================================== Fred Lauzus, CAM Programming Coordinator High Steel Structures, Incorporated mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.highsteel.com ================================================== -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of John Chambers Sent: Tuesday, May 11, 2004 8:28 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: [mfg-smartcam] Network License Manager I'm having trouble getting smartcam running on win2k. We are doing pc shuffle, and we got a faster computer for Smartcam, which will replace our main programming pc. That pc was also running the NLM server. I got new keys from MRS. After installing the license keys, and starting the server, and stopping the old server, the other clients can run Smartcam with no problem, but the new machine won't run it. I keep getting an error message "505: Version 11 of Smartcam Production Milling is not Licensed". The tests (network client & server test utilities) work ok. The query utility shows the new server active, and what licenses are available. PCCHOST and CMTHOST are both set. This system is running Windows 2000 Professional. Does anyone have any Ideas what could be going on here?
