I have not used Glimpse, but I would guess your problem has
to do with file permissions. Most of the files are only readable by
root and I doubt searches are done by a root process.
Try doing a chmod on the files to make them world readable, and
make sure your umask is set properly when updating the index.

P.S. I do not know if Wilma does it for you, but you may want
to use the MODTIME resource in MHonArc to make glimpse index updates
more efficient.
