How to set the starting MSGNUM from 0 to arbitrary number

Hi,

Could you let me know how to reset the starting MSGNUM from a arbitrary
number instead of 0? I hope the processed messages starting from
msg00598.html instead of the default msg00000.html.

If source files have to been modified, please provide your suggestions.
