It's being worked on -- it's called DebTorrent. Not sure if it's in a
usable state yet, but it's at least definitely in the works.
http://wiki.debian.org/DebTorrent
The package is already in Debian Sid in the main tree; doesn't exist in the
Gutsy tree that I can tell. [It's in the "Network" section.] It's written
in Python, so it might be installable on Ubuntu.
http://packages.debian.org/unstable/net/debtorrent
Package: debtorrent
Provides: python-debtorrent
Depends: python, python-support (>= 0.2), adduser
Recommends: python-crypto, apt-transport-debtorrent
Suggests: python-psyco
Filename: pool/main/d/debtorrent/debtorrent_0.1.4.4_all.deb
The apt-transport-debtorrent package doesn't exist yet.
