MHVLUG is proud to announce our November 2007 meeting: Django - Python Web Application Development Framework.
Django is a high-level Python Web framework that encourages rapid development and clean, pragmatic design. Developed and used over two years by a fast-moving online-news operation, Django was designed to handle two challenges: the intensive deadlines of a newsroom and the stringent requirements of the experienced Web developers who wrote it. It lets you build high-performing, elegant Web applications quickly. Sean O'Connor will be speaking on the subject of Django. The meeting will take place at the Mid Hudson Library System Auditorium, in Poughkeepsie, NY, on Wednesday, November 7, from 6pm - 8pm. A nice map to the Auditorium can be found here: http://midhudson.org/help/mhls_building_map.htm. All meetings are *free* and open to the public, and everyone from all levels of expertise and interest in Linux and Open Source Software are encouraged to attend (and bring a friend or two)! In addition, after each meeting ends everyone is welcome to join in on an informal dinner gathering at the Palace Diner (http://www.thepalacediner.com/) on Washington St. This is a great opportunity to interact with members of the local Linux community, and a forum where questions and comments are strongly welcomed. For more details, please see http://mhvlug.org. Hope to see you all there! -Sean
