Here's some older hardware I'm giving away. Free, as is. Please contact me off-list if you're interested or want more info.
1) Most of "white box" desktop system, low end from March 2004, system unit only. Celeron 1.7 GHz, case, motherboard (integrated video & audio), 2 GB new RAM (PC3200), CD-ROM and CD-RW drives, 3.5" floppy drive, winmodem card, with built-in USB, Ethernet, RS-232, and parallel ports. Might only need a new ATX power supply and one or two PATA hard drives (and cable) to be usable, or might need more than that. (Plus, of course, VGA monitor and PS/2 keyboard and mouse.) 2) APC Smart UPS 1500, no battery, no battery cable, no software, no idea if it works or not. 3) Elderly (ca. 1997) Visioneer Paperport 6000 flatbed scanner (rebranded Avision 630C), parallel-port passthrough, with manual and Windows drivers. Was working fine under Windows when I disconnected it a few months ago, though I never did get it to work under Linux. Maybe you can. Any takers? For pickup, I can bring pieces to this Wednesday's lunch or the January meeting, or arrange for pickup in Hyde Park.
