As openoffice has java dependencies you might want to check on the
status of java. There can be multiple versions of java installed on
your system, check in /etc/alternatives for which java is the default.
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/etc/alternatives$ ls -l java
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 16 2007-12-28 15:23 java -> /usr/bin/gij-4.2
I have never spent as much time as I should on fully understanding
debian packaging, so there may be a better way to do this.
You may want to check on the openoffice packages, try issuing the
