Well, I was hoping to make it down to Pokeytown tonight, but work interfered, and I was still in the Woodstock area at 5:55.

I just can't make it very often, including tonight. __Something__ would be better than nothing at all. How about this idea: if you're concerned about online presentations cannibalizing the meeting attendance, do like premium entertainment services do -- make the initial availability "for pay" (must attend the meeting), but have video available 2 or 3 months later (the "free" distribution). Those who want something badly enough (immediately) will come to the meeting, and others who don't want to attend (or can't) will just have to wait a bit. Also consider this: don't necessarily hold meetings (at least in the present format), but have lectures and demonstrations put online at any time. Use lunches and dinners and such for face time, while getting useful information out in a timely basis. You'd have to update the presentations with Q & A submitted by members. Does MHVLUG pay anything for use of the library? Should we become a virtual organization?
